Faculty and Advisory Board Bo Parfet

Bo Parfet is a Principal and the Chief Investment Officer of Jumar Management, a US-based investment fund. Prior to founding Jumar, Bo was a founder and Managing Principal at Iconic Development, a real estate development and investment company, named an Inc 500 fastest growing company in 2012. He has also worked on Wall Street as an investment banker in corporate finance for J.P. Morgan.  

Bo, and his wife Meredith, created Denali Venture Philanthropy, founded on the principle that all people are connected—that the universality of the human experience motivates us to improve the lives of others. Bo and Meredith believe that market forces can, if implemented correctly and fairly, act as a strong mechanism for addressing significant global issues like raising education levels, improving access to quality healthcare, decreasing poverty, and protecting the environment.

Bo is an accomplished mountaineer and explorer, having completed the Seven Summits (the tallest mountain on each continent.) and chronicled in his book: Die Trying: One Man’s Quest to Conquer the Seven Summits. He holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, an MA in Applied Economics from the University of Michigan, and a BS in Economics from Colorado State University.
